Job Summary
Lead the design, development, and implementation of low latency electronic trading systems, focusing on Smart Order Router, Matching Engine, Market Access, and Risk Management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and drive the strategic direction of electronic trading technology to align with business goals and regulatory requirements. Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. Conduct code reviews and testing, optimize performance through kernel tuning and low-level programming, and mentor a team of engineers to foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to keep trading platforms competitive and compliant.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 10+ years of applied software engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists
- Advanced knowledge of C++14 onwards (including templates and generic programming)
- Expertise in multi-threaded and concurrent programming
- Experience in TCP/IP network programming and familiarity with LBM/UME
- Proven experience in ultra-low latency application development, kernel tuning and low-level system programming
- Advanced knowledge of system architecture, design, and business processes
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix, with understanding of OS and kernel architecture
- Familiarity with modern CI development practices, SDLC, and Agile methodologies
- Exposure to or ability to learn Java and Cloud Technologies
- Ability to collaborate in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve goals
