Job Summary
Senior Director of eSoftware Engineering – Derivatives Execution Algos Lead at JPMorgan Chase leads a global, platform-focused engineering effort within the EDG Execution Technology group to build and evolve a robust, low-latency derivatives execution stack. The role emphasizes strong technical guidance, architectural decision-making, and collaboration with derivatives, cash, and wider groups to deliver compliant, secure, high-quality production code and to shape product design and operational processes across the SDLC. The leader will drive adoption of leading-edge technologies, influence cross-team initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory reporting, surveillance, and control mandates, and foster an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 10+ years applied experience in software engineering leadership
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists
- Hands-on C++ experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operations
- Proficiency in C++ on Unix/Linux
- Scripting skills for automation
- Understanding of software/hardware interaction
- Experience in architecture disciplines for applications and infrastructure
- Strong CS fundamentals (multithreading, OO)
- Ability to work with multiple teams including Development, Business Analysis, and Operations
