Job Summary
Develop and articulate a strategic vision for the engineering organization, overseeing the creation and execution of roadmaps to drive platform modernization. Lead a diverse team of engineering leaders and individual contributors, managing talent acquisition, professional development, and performance while fostering high-performance accountability. Direct technical solutions for system reliability, scalability, and security, enforcing best practices including CI/CD processes, code quality standards, and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI requirements. Manage the engineering budget, allocate resources to prioritize high-impact projects, and mitigate technical, security, and operational risks. Ensure alignment with business goals through transparent communication with executive leadership and cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and business teams. Maintain a sustainable operational model for remote or hybrid workforces, advocating for ethical behavior and a customer-first mindset.
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
- Proven track record of leading large-scale engineering initiatives
- Experience managing teams of 20+ engineers
- Hands-on expertise in recruitment, talent development, and performance management
- Demonstrated success in scaling engineering operations
- Experience implementing best practices in software development, testing, and deployment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Expertise in modern software development frameworks and languages including Java, Python, Go, or Node.js
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL/NoSQL)
- Experience with version control systems like Git
