Senior Director of Development

Job Summary
Direct the organization's fundraising strategy, including creation and implementation of development plans, cultivation of donors, and management of development staff and events. Achieve annual, capital, and endowment goals by managing a team of approximately 10, developing new income sources, and overseeing a personal portfolio of 150 prospects. Oversee grant development, donor stewardship, and CRM integrity while coordinating with the Board of Directors and executive leadership. Prepare annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and sign contracts to ensure fiscal compliance. Lead the senior management team, drive operational plans, and foster organizational culture in support of the National Dance Institute of New Mexico's mission to engage children through the arts.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree
- A minimum of five years' experience in fund development
- A minimum fundraising track record of $5 Million annual and $15 Million capital
- Oversight of 7 – 10 fundraising staff
- A willingness to collaborate with the Executive Director on meeting organizational goals
- Knowledge of New Mexico market
- Experience working for an organization with multiple locations
- Strong marketing background

Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in the non-profit sector as a fundraiser
- Strong marketing background is highly preferred
- Experience developing and executing marketing strategies, building community partnerships, and supporting outreach and fundraising efforts
