Job Summary
Manage a $2.5+ million revenue portfolio by identifying, cultivating, and stewarding corporate foundations and high-net-worth individuals while ensuring compliance with funder guidelines. Oversee the planning and execution of all special events, including co-facilitating signature fundraising efforts and managing benefit fulfillment. Direct a team of three staff members, balancing partner relationship supervision with collaborative project leadership across marketing, grants, and portfolio management. Develop retention strategies to renew multi-year financial commitments and maintain rigorous monthly and quarterly reporting on portfolio activity. Cultivate strong relationships through personal visits and sustain a holistic stewardship approach by engaging sponsors and donors. Maintain analytical knowledge of the constituent relationship management database and assist in Board engagement to develop key funding partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of business, communications, nonprofit management, and/or a related subject
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively increased responsibility working with corporate relations & event management
- Thorough knowledge of or ability to learn the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver
- The principles and practices of managing non-profit organizations
- Resource Development activities and sources of funding
- Proven success creating partnerships with corporations at a nonprofit organization
- Exemplary writing, editing, and verbal communications skills
- Proposal writing and presentation experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience interacting with volunteers and senior leadership
- Excellent interpersonal relationships
- Proficiency in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft Project and Raiser's Edge or similar donor database
- Leadership skills, including negotiation, problem solving, decision making, and delegation
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding fundraising outcomes in a previous position with an organization budget of $3 million or more
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy
- Ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs
- Strong English proficiency
- Ability to pass criminal and driving records investigations
- Ability to pass reference checks
- Ability to work primarily indoors
- Ability to occasionally work from other BGCMD facilities as necessary
- Ability to have remote work and other flexible work arrangements approved prior to implementation
- Ability to supervise 3 employees
- Ability to assist in recruitment, hiring, training, and managing staff and volunteers
- Ability to provide ongoing professional development and performance evaluations
- Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among staff members
- Ability to ensure staff adhere to organizational policies and child safety standards
