Job Summary
Senior Director of Business Development responsible for driving growth in private/public insurance markets, strengthening payer relationships, and positioning Gosnold competitively in the commercial insurance sector. Manages strategic initiatives to expand patient access, optimize payer mix, and develop financially advantageous partnerships across the healthcare industry. Lead cross-functional collaboration with clinical, marketing, admissions, and finance teams to align growth with capacity and strategic goals. Requires expertise in healthcare finance, payer dynamics, and behavioral health market trends, with a focus on reimbursement optimization, contract performance, and strategic partnerships. Supervisory responsibilities are included.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of healthcare business development, payer relations, healthcare strategy, or managed care experience
- Strong understanding of behavioral health or healthcare service delivery
- Skills: Strategic thinking and market analysis, relationship development and negotiation, healthcare financial literacy and reimbursement understanding
- Experience with private and public insurance payers
- Ability to translate market dynamics into actionable strategies
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- MBA, MHA, MPH or related field strongly preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of healthcare business development, payer relations, healthcare strategy, or managed care experience
- Strong understanding of behavioral health or healthcare service delivery
- Strategic thinking, market analysis, negotiation, and relationship development skills
