Job Summary
Senior Director Nursing Education responsible for strategic direction and operations advancing patient care, education, research, and professional practice across the Houston Methodist system. Leads a system nursing research team, coordinates outreach to schools of nursing, drives evidence-based practice initiatives, oversees training and onboarding of nursing staff, and ensures compliance with regulatory/ accreditation standards. Reports to VP level, manages budgets, and partners with system chief nurses to align education initiatives with organizational goals. Requires doctoral-level nursing education expertise, substantial leadership experience, and Texas RN licensure with leadership certification; travel within the Houston area may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Nursing (PhD or DNA) or related field
- Seven years of experience in nursing with significant leadership, education, and research experience
- RN - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure (permanent license within 60 days)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
- ANCC-recognized Leadership Certification
