Job Summary
Develop and implement complex contracting strategies with Market Leaders to align network development and cost management objectives. Lead the provider contracting team, mentor staff, and set clear goals while collaborating with Network Monitoring & Performance to identify gaps and expand provider access. Negotiate complex agreements with hospitals, physicians, and ancillary organizations to drive financial performance and ensure quality care. Source OON provider targets as needed, resolve provider issues regarding terms and reimbursement, and ensure all agreements comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Act as the primary point of contact for contracting activities, building strong relationships to foster network stability. Report to the Vice President, Network Management in Tempe, Arizona, with a hybrid schedule of three in-office days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in healthcare provider contracting, network development, or related areas
- 7+ years experience negotiating complex contracts with hospitals, physician groups, and other healthcare providers
- 5+ years of leadership or managerial experience in a healthcare setting
- Must be based in Tempe, Arizona office
- Hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week
- Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events
