Job Summary
Senior Director, Media leading paid media across five MeatEater brands, owning strategy, budget, and measurement. Responsible for setting the annual media plan, coordinating with a performance agency, managing in-house media buying for emerging brands, and aligning with brand/creative for earned media input. Oversees retention marketing (email, SMS, database) and drives LTV, repeat rate, and reactivation. Builds a measurement architecture including MMM, MTA, incrementality, and geo holdouts, and translates findings into actionable recommendations for funnel and channel mix. Leads a small team (two direct reports) and partners with finance and executive leadership on ROI storytelling and budgeting, while representing the function at the marketing leadership table.
Required Qualifications
- Lead paid media across five brands (First Lite, FHF Gear, Phelps, DSD, MeatEater Store) including search, social, programmatic, CTV, YouTube, podcast, and emerging channels
- Set annual media plan, quarterly reforecasts, and in-flight optimization
- Own relationship with First Lite performance agency and oversee in-house buying
- Partner with brand and creative teams for earned media coordination
- Oversee retention marketing (email, SMS, database marketing) across all brands
- Drive customer lifetime value, repeat rate, and reactivation as primary outcomes
- Develop measurement framework including MMM, MTA, incrementality testing, and geo holdouts
- Build internal tooling and dashboards for reporting to executives
- Provide leadership and development for a small team (two reports)
- Collaborate with finance on budget framework and ROI storytelling
- Represent media in marketing leadership discussions
