Job Summary
Senior Director, Marketing – Strategy & New Product Development (NPD) leads upstream marketing and innovation planning to identify unmet clinical needs, shape product concepts, and translate market insights into differentiated product strategies that drive long-term growth. Partners with R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to guide development from concept through milestones, ensuring alignment with portfolio strategy and enterprise priorities. Responsibilities include defining portfolio strategy, leading market assessments and voice-of-customer insights, developing business cases and financial models, prioritizing the innovation pipeline, and building a high-performing upstream marketing team while driving cross-functional collaboration and successful transition from development to launch planning. Must have a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience (10+ years in management) or an advanced degree with 13+ years of experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Travel as necessary; strong strategic thinking, healthcare market understanding, and executive communication skills are required.
