Job Summary

Define and maintain the global Launch Excellence strategy across the Cell Therapy portfolio, establishing a single source of truth for all launch and lifecycle initiatives. Lead launch governance processes, portfolio prioritization, and executive escalation frameworks while defining performance measures and KPIs to drive decision-making. Provide strategic oversight for product development, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and commercial organizations to ensure launch readiness and manage risks through scenario planning and resource alignment. Develop and operationalize a Product Obsolescence Process & Execution Framework, creating standardized tools and metrics to monitor execution progress and embed lessons learned. Build a high-performing Launch Excellence organization by defining future-state operating models, training programs, and best practices to support pipeline growth.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. in science and/or engineering (biotechnology, biology, engineering or related sciences)
  • Master or advanced degree (sciences or business)
  • 15+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience across product development, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, quality, regulatory, commercial, and/or technology functions
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex global product launches and lifecycle management programs
  • Experience leading enterprise initiatives across highly matrixed organizations
  • Strong understanding of Cell Therapy product development, launch readiness, lifecycle management, and supply chain processes
  • Proven ability to influence executive-level stakeholders, including Vice Presidents, General Managers, and functional leaders
  • Demonstrated success building organizational capabilities and leading transformational change
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the capability to evaluate tradeoffs and drive strategic decisions
  • Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, strategic thinking and leadership in a matrix environment
  • Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize supply chain and generate new ideas or alternatives that create value, including seeking new information and external insights
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility
  • Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility
  • For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function

Desired Qualifications

  • prior cell therapy development experience preferred
  • Certification or exposure to Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement concepts desirable
