RemoteUnited States

Full TimeSenior LevelSmall

Job Summary

Validate signed SOWs for technical feasibility, then architect and lead the build of SIS, flat-file, and bespoke integrations using Ellucian Ethos, Dagster, and Python/AWS stacks. Own the operational lifecycle post-go-live, including sync monitoring, versioning, and escalation handling for customer issues. Manage the delivery team of architects, engineers, and support specialists to execute handoffs, UAT, and go-lives while defining standards, tooling, and KPIs for time-to-integrate and uptime. Partner with Product to shape native integration capabilities and drive the strategy for expanding beyond SIS into LMS and self-service models. Serve as the senior escalation point for delivery and customer situations, ensuring reliable, scalable integration delivery across the higher education portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Deep, hands-on SIS expertise
  • Real depth in at least one major student information system - ideally Ellucian Banner or Colleague via the Ethos API
  • Understanding of how campus IT, registrars, and enrollment teams actually operate
  • Hands-on experience integrating a CRM with an SIS
  • Understanding of how student and application data flows between the two systems and the pitfalls that show up in practice
  • 8+ years in integration delivery or implementation in higher ed or B2B SaaS
  • 3+ years leading technical teams (architects and/or engineers)
  • Experience owning delivery outcomes across a portfolio
  • Scoping and solutioning expertise
  • Ability to validate a signed SOW, size effort and risk, and shape the integration approach
  • Ability to hold the line on what's feasible without needing an engineer to translate
  • Technically fluent enough to lead the build without doing it
  • Understanding of REST and SOAP APIs
  • Understanding of webhooks
  • Understanding of scheduled and event-driven data-pipeline orchestration
  • Experience with Dagster
  • Comfort with authentication patterns like API keys, bearer/session tokens, and basic auth
  • Experience with integration frameworks like Ellucian Ethos
  • Fluency around a Python/AWS stack (ECS, Secrets Manager, S3)
  • Experience with MongoDB and a Snowflake/dbt data layer
  • Ability to read a payload and pressure-test an architecture
  • Experience growing and structuring technical delivery teams
  • Ability to set the process and tooling that make delivery repeatable and reliable
  • Clear communication skills moving fluently between campus registrars, IT directors, engineers, executives, Sales and Product partners
  • Ability to serve as an escalation point for customer escalations

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience at a higher ed SaaS company (CRM, SIS, enrollment or curriculum tech)
  • Depth across more of the platforms we integrate - Workday Student, Anthology/Campus Nexus, Populi, Destiny One, or CFNC - in addition to Banner and Colleague
  • Experience turning a managed/services offering into productized, repeatable capabilities in partnership with Product
  • Hands-on with code-based orchestration (Dagster or similar)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures
  • Experience with containerized deploys (Docker/AWS ECS)
  • Experience with integration monitoring/observability (e.g., Sentry)
