Job Summary
Senior Director, Head of Associate Relations at GEICO leads the enterprise Associate Relations function, shaping strategy and operating model to deliver a fair, consistent, and values-driven associate experience. Responsibilities include defining a multi-year strategy, evolving the operating model with clear role clarity and escalation paths, modernizing processes for scalability across regions and business units, and leveraging data and technology to improve outcomes, transparency, and trust. Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on employee relations risk, governance of investigations and policy interpretation, and partners with Legal, Compliance, and HR leadership to mitigate risk. Builds and inspires a high-performing Associate Relations leadership team, sets standards for judgment and conduct, and oversees enterprise policies and compliance with employment regulations. Drives insights and continuous improvement to enhance engagement, trust, and retention. Key focus areas include enterprise strategy, governance, policy oversight, risk management, and data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- 10–12 years of progressive leadership experience in Associate Relations or Employee Relations
- Experience designing and scaling investigations or employee relations operating models in large, complex organizations
- Deep expertise in employment law, EEO regulations, anti-retaliation principles, and investigations governance
- Strong executive presence and judgment; ability to navigate ambiguity and high-stakes matters
- Proven track record influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across cross-functional partners
- Exceptional communication skills; ability to synthesize complexity and deliver clear, defensible recommendations
