Senior Director, Hardware & Firmware product engineering

Job Summary
Lead engineering and product delivery for hardware products, managing activities from concept through production launch to ensure quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Contribute to product requirement validation, assess technical risks, and align Hardware, Firmware, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering teams. Champion robust practices including Design for Manufacturing, Design for Test, and reliability engineering while driving continuous improvement of the development lifecycle. Evolve engineering practices to enhance quality and efficiency, building empowered product delivery teams and facilitating knowledge-sharing initiatives. Coach team members, assess workforce needs, and lead governance forums alongside Scrum Masters and Project Managers. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide visibility on delivery performance. Requires 7+ years in electronic product engineering and embedded systems, with strong leadership and bilingual French/English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- More than 7 years of experience in the field of electronic product engineering and embedded systems (hardware and firmware)
- More than 5 years of experience leading technology delivery, product development, or related fields
- Strong people leadership and team management experience
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale organizational transformation initiatives
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Proven leadership with the ability to influence, engage, and build trusted business relationships
- Strong leadership, team management, and change management skills
- Proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written
