Job Summary
Lead strategic grants management for Catholic Social Services: oversee the full grants lifecycle from pre-award activities (funding opportunity identification, funder research, budgeting, proposal development) to post-award management (award setup, compliance monitoring, financial tracking, reporting, closeout). Collaborate with program leadership, finance, development, and data teams to ensure grant-funded activities are well-designed, measurable, and compliant with funder requirements; identify and pursue institutional funding opportunities from public and private funders; build and maintain relationships with grant funders; oversee grant budgeting in partnership with finance; provide regular reporting and analysis to leadership; strengthen internal grants management infrastructure, policies, systems, and cross-functional processes for sustainability. Requires a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred; 8+ years nonprofit grants management experience; travel within Alaska occasionally; located in Anchorage, AK.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (minimum education requirement)
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in nonprofit grants management
- Experience across full grant lifecycle (pre-award through closeout)
- Experience managing grant portfolios across public and private funding sources
- Certifications preferred: CGMS, CRA
- Strong knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and applicable regulations
- Proficiency in grant budgeting, proposal development, and reporting
- Advanced Excel and grants management systems experience
