Job Summary
Senior Director of Global Tax Planning to lead, elevate, and operationalize Workday’s global tax planning and M&A functions. You will design and govern the global corporate income tax strategy, lead domestic and international tax workstreams, and perform hands-on technical modeling to project annual cash tax impacts and ETR. The role requires cross-border leadership, cross-functional collaboration with tax, finance, and business teams, and a modern, AI-first operating model to scale tax planning. You will supervise and develop a distributed cross-border team, translate complex tax concepts into commercial insights, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on tax implications of business operations. The position emphasizes strategic partnership, executive-level dashboards, and driving digital transformation through AI-enabled workflows within a high-growth global tech environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive corporate multinational tax experience combined with public accounting (Big 4 preferred) experience
- deep expertise in foreign international tax, statutory financial experience and ASC 740 financial reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- CPA or JD required
