Job Summary
Senior Director, Global BioPharma Business Development Lead to lead and shape strategic partnerships across biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare organizations. Leverage deep genomics, diagnostics, data, and drug development knowledge to identify, target, and engage strategic partners, generate leads, and deliver executive-level proposals and negotiated commercial terms. Drive revenue growth by partnering with internal teams (molecular science, laboratory, bioinformatics, technology, pathology, legal, medical affairs) to tailor partnership structures and solutions, manage the partner lifecycle, and expand the business portfolio. Requires leadership in high-visibility BD activities, travel to conferences and partner meetings, and the ability to communicate complex value propositions to senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- MBA; equivalent scientific/business experience considered
- At least 10+ years professional work experience in Biopharma or business development
- 7+ years in Biopharma or business development roles with senior-level leadership experience
- Proven track record leading and closing multi-million-dollar deals
- Experience as the external face of the organization at BD events (e.g., JPM, BIO) and oncology conferences
- Ability to develop materials (documents, presentations, pitch decks) for internal and external use
- Strong knowledge of drug development continuum (early R&D to commercialization) and partnerships in biotech/pharma
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; capable of leading executive-level presentations and proposals
- Willingness to travel ~20-30% for regional partner meetings and industry events
- MD or PhD preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker with cross-functional collaboration skills
