Senior Director, Footwear Development

Senior Director of Footwear Development responsible for overseeing the footwear product development process from concept to commercialization, driving sustainability, performance, and profitability; partner with Supply Chain and Footwear leadership to shape strategic priorities and organizational structure; build and manage cross-functional teams, establish a partner strategy, and hire technical talent; foster partnerships with Tier 1/2 vendors, develop technical metrics, and lead a footwear innovation agenda; influence the Sustainability agenda and corporate mission to Leave It Better; collaborate across Footwear and cross-functional stakeholders to drive margin targets, cost data review, and financial tracking; mentor and coach team members, and lead ongoing product excellence and operational improvements; responsibilities also include aligning teams with manufacturing partners (including Asia) and ensuring construction, pattern making, materials, and costing considerations are integrated into product development; desired candidate will have 15+ years in footwear technical roles, strong leadership and communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, ability to navigate ambiguity, and a passion for sustainability and outdoor culture.
