Senior Director, Finance and Growth – International

Job Summary
Manage a multi-currency, multi-market P&L in partnership with General Managers, synthesizing EBITDA drivers and reconciling performance metrics monthly, quarterly, and annually. Lead quarterly forecast cycles and the annual budget process for all international financial inputs, while tracking franchisee financial statements to identify risks and opportunities. Oversee the International finance function and the above-market development function, including major deal negotiation, NPV analysis, and pipeline management. Support senior leadership on strategic initiatives such as joint ventures and market-entry evaluations, while building data infrastructure and promoting financial best practices across global markets. This role requires 12+ years of experience in finance or development, mastery of Excel and planning tools, and the ability to manage geographically dispersed teams across the US, Mexico, Europe, UAE, and Australia. The position involves 20% international travel and a hybrid schedule with on-site presence Tuesday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 12+ years of cumulative experience in finance, development, strategy, or an analytical role (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting franchised business models
- Experience negotiating development agreements and franchise transactions
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
- Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and franchise partners through data-driven recommendations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments and cultures
- Ability to manage and operate across different time zones, supporting personnel based in the United States, Mexico, Europe, UAE and Australia
- Demonstrated ability to develop actionable insights from imperfect or diverse data sets
- Ability to raise the bar with proactive insights and analysis, driving towards a culture of accountability and empowerment
- Mastery of Excel
- Experience with Hyperion, Adaptive, or similar planning tools
- Experience with financial systems, business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and ERP systems
- High analytical capability, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to dive into details to solve problems
- Knowledge of restaurant, retail, or multi-unit business models
- Experience working in international or global organizations
- Ability to protect confidential and sensitive information as part of the planning process
- Ability and willingness to travel, including international markets (20%)
