Job Summary
Define and evolve platform architecture strategy for Custody, Wealth, and Asset Management applications, translating business priorities and regulatory requirements into scalable roadmaps. Produce blueprints, target-state designs, and integration patterns while leading architecture reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise security and resiliency standards. Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to modernize legacy workflows, design event-driven systems, and guide implementation decisions from prototyping through production deployment. Remain hands-on with code reviews, technical troubleshooting, and AI/GenAI use case integration to solve complex performance and scalability issues.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in platform architecture, solution architecture, and distributed systems design
- Proven ability to design and deliver: Microservices and service-oriented architectures
- Proven ability to design and deliver: Event-driven systems
- Proven ability to design and deliver: API-first platforms
- Proven ability to design and deliver: High-availability and resilient systems
- Proven ability to design and deliver: Scalable batch and real-time processing solutions
- Deep understanding of integration patterns, application decomposition, and modernization approaches
- Strong software engineering background with ability to engage in hands-on technical work
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including some combination of: Compute, storage, networking, and managed services
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including some combination of: Cloud-native application design
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including some combination of: Kubernetes / container platforms
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including some combination of: Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including some combination of: Deployment automation
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including some combination of: Security and identity integration
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including some combination of: Cost, resilience, and operational design considerations in cloud environments
- Strong understanding of data architecture and engineering patterns
- Experience with: Data modeling
- Experience with: Data integration and transformation pipelines
- Experience with: Metadata and lineage concepts
- Experience with: Data quality and governance considerations
- Experience with: Analytical and operational data use cases
- Ability to architect platforms that support both transactional and analytical workloads
- Practical exposure to AI and GenAI, such as: Integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into enterprise workflows
- Practical exposure to AI and GenAI, such as: Retrieval-augmented generation or knowledge retrieval patterns
- Practical exposure to AI and GenAI, such as: LLM-enabled search, summarization, classification, or assistant use cases
- Practical exposure to AI and GenAI, such as: Responsible AI, model governance, and secure enterprise adoption considerations
- Practical exposure to AI and GenAI, such as: Working with structured and unstructured data to support intelligent applications
- 15 plus years in architecture and engineering roles within financial services or similarly complex regulated industries
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology solutions in Custody, Wealth, and/or Asset Management
- Track record of leading architecture for complex enterprise platforms and transformation initiatives
- Experience balancing strategic design with practical implementation detail
- Experience working in Agile / product-centric delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business, operations, and technology teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
