Job Summary
Senior Director of Developer Ecosystem at IonQ leading strategy and execution for developer relations, open-source engagement, and community initiatives. Own the developer tooling roadmap (APIs, SDKs, and learning content), drive world-class documentation and education programs, and set adoption and usage metrics. Build and lead a cross-functional team across Product Management, Engineering, Applications, Science, Field Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure IonQ’s developer ecosystem becomes a leading platform for quantum applications and workflows. Travel up to 20% and collaborate with partners, standards bodies, and open-source foundations to shape the quantum software infrastructure that matters most. Location: Bothell, WA.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in developer relations, developer ecosystem strategy, open-source community leadership, or technical product management
- Demonstrated track record of building and scaling developer communities at hardware-software interfaces
- Deep experience in open-source strategy and governance
- Experience building and leading multi-disciplinary teams spanning DevRel, Developer Education, and Engineering
- Strong technical fluency with ability to engage with quantum computing researchers, compiler engineers, and application developers
- Proven ability to own and drive a developer experience roadmap with measurable outcomes
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, including negotiating with large organizations and rallying a diverse ecosystem
