Job Summary

Senior Director, Deal Strategy & Enablement lead a global center of excellence within Equinix, driving cradle-to-grave management of deals across the Opportunity-to-Cash process. This system-design and team-development role moves the function from approvals to strategic orchestration, partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, and regional leadership to reduce friction, accelerate deal velocity, and embed scalable enablement assets (templates, playbooks, and tooling) across the commercial engine. Responsibilities include owning end-to-end deal-cycle accountability, chairing governance and pricing-insights forums, building a productized library of enablement assets, driving automation in the Lead-to-Cash stack (Salesforce, CPQ), and shaping policy through data-driven pricing and capacity-portfolio optimization. The role requires transformational leadership, cross-functional influence without formal authority, and a track record of delivering measurable improvements in time-to-booking, win rates, and policy adoption. The position demands deep expertise in pricing governance, deal economics (margin, IRR, NPV), deal-scoring frameworks, and the ability to brief C-suite stakeholders with rigor. This backfill posting seeks a builder who can scale a 40-person team across multiple regions, develop career ladders, and establish Deal Strategy & Enablement as the primary velocity-multiplier in Equinix’s commercial engine.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in deal desk leadership, commercial operations, revenue operations, pricing strategy, or strategic sales operations — with significant time in a transformation or system-design context
  • 5+ years leading global teams (40+ people across multiple regions) through an operating-model change
  • Direct experience with Deal Governance, deal scoring or capacity allocation frameworks, and pricing committee operations
  • Proven track record influencing C-suite and senior cross-functional stakeholders without authority (CRO, CFO, Regional Presidents, General Counsel)
  • Expert command of Salesforce and CPQ environments, including approval workflow design, reporting, and integration patterns
  • Familiarity with Lead-to-Cash transformation programs (Siebel-to-Salesforce migration experience a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief executive audiences on commercial outcomes with clarity and rigor
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
