Job Summary
Senior Director, Content Marketing - Legal & Government leads the editorial strategy for Thomson Reuters’ Legal Professionals portfolio, shaping the market’s understanding of the future of legal work and building content programs that drive demand for CoCounsel, Westlaw, Practical Law, HighQ, and Noetica. You’ll set the editorial agenda, lead flagship research franchises and multi-format content, drive content that supports pipeline and demand generation, manage content operations and production workflows, and lead a team of writers, strategists, and producers while partnering with internal stakeholders across Brand, Sales, and Product. You bring 8+ years in content strategy and editorial leadership, 3+ years leading and scaling a team, a track record of building original content programs that move a market, strong editorial judgment, fluency with AI content tools, ability to read and rewrite with executive-level precision, and comfort working with senior executives and using marketing analytics to inform strategy. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in content strategy and editorial leadership at a B2B SaaS, professional services, or media company
- 3+ years leading and scaling a team
- strong editorial judgment
- fluency with AI content tools
- comfort working with senior executives, including extracting their point of view and ghostwriting at their level
- fluency with content performance data and marketing analytics
- familiarity with modern content stack: CMS, content ops platforms, SEO and analytics tools, and AI-assisted production
- experience in legal, regulated, or professional services markets is a strong plus
