Senior Director - Construction

Job Summary
Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across construction, project management, design, project controls, commissioning, and vendor management to oversee the successful delivery of hyperscale data center campuses and mission-critical infrastructure. Manage project schedules, budgets, quality performance, risk management, and change control while coordinating general contractors, specialist subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders. Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable regulations. Oversee commissioning, integrated systems testing, and phased handover processes to ensure operational readiness. This role is primarily based at the FRA6 site with flexibility for occasional remote working.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive experience in construction and project leadership, including at least 10 years within mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or data center environments
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale campus developments or mission-critical projects, ideally exceeding 100MW of critical capacity
- Strong knowledge of construction management, project controls, planning, procurement, contract administration, and commissioning
- Experience delivering projects through Design & Build, EPC, Management Contracting, and/or traditional procurement models
- Sound understanding of major contract frameworks, including FIDIC and comparable forms of contract
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships within client, contractor, supplier, and authority environments
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools
- German and English language skills are essential for the role
- Must be able to work effectively in international and multicultural teams
- Must be based at our FRA6 site, with the opportunity to support other locations across Frankfurt as business needs require
- Must be available for occasional remote working where operational and project requirements permit
