Job Summary
Provide supervisory mentorship and technical direction to a geographically distributed team of AI compiler and system software engineers, including planning, scheduling, and execution of projects. Guide the design and implementation of the NVIDIA compiler stack, championing engagement with AI systems open source communities. Serve as a trusted steward of compiler product offerings by interacting with product managers, key customers, and ISVs. Develop and execute a roadmap delivering innovative optimization techniques that enhance AI performance on NVIDIA systems. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure language conformance, robustness, and high-quality code generation for deep learning, graphics, and safety-critical environments. Establish strong customer and partner relationships through excellent execution and high-quality software delivery.
Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 16+ overall years of research and technology development
- 10+ years of technical lead/management experience
- Experience in developing production compilers or related software and have collaborated on the development of large code bases
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- A team player with proven leadership and mentorship skills
- Demonstrated track record of success in achieving objectives under tight deadlines and have led projects with consequential priorities
- Strong background in AI compilers and systems software, with a track record in collaboration with academia and open source communities
- Familiar with parallel programming paradigms and hardware accelerators
Desired Qualifications
- Track-record of success as a technical manager/ leader
- Proficiency in the CUDA programming languages plus familiarity with deep learning frameworks and NVIDIA GPUs
- Experience with compiler development for parallel programming languages targeting hardware accelerators
