Job Summary
Senior Director of Billing & Client Invoicing responsible for leading a high-volume, multi-service billing operation for a fleet leasing and services business. Oversees end-to-end billing, including invoicing accuracy, customization (EDI and client-specific layouts), governance, and change management to minimize delays and disputes. Partners with Sales, Client Management, Client Services, and Onboarding to align scope and go-live requirements, and drives process improvement, data controls, and revenue recognition while maintaining strong internal controls and cross-functional collaboration. Leads a multi-layered billing organization, establishes KPIs and accountability, designs scalable billing standards, and ensures billing readiness of products and services before scaling, with a focus on accuracy, performance, and client experience.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, billing, revenue operations, or order-to-cash environments
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in high-volume, complex billing environments
- Experience with contract-based, multi-service invoicing (leasing, usage-based, or subscription models)
- Strong understanding of billing systems, ERP platforms, and data structures
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients and senior leadership
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Client Management, Client Services, and Client Onboarding to onboard new clients with complex invoicing needs
