Job Summary
Conduct systematic scanning and evaluation of external innovations across China and the Asia Pacific region, identifying high-potential scientific opportunities for partnership, licensing, or acquisition. Develop and maintain relationships with biotechnology companies, academic institutions, and government organizations through participation in global and local networking platforms. Collaborate with Global Business Development and Legal teams to support negotiations, evaluate deal structures, and coordinate technical due diligence. Present comprehensive assessment outcomes to leadership and governance bodies, delivering strategic recommendations with risk-benefit analyses. Align external engagement strategies with organizational priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance the External Scientific Affairs mission.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or Ph.D. in bacteriology, virology, immunology, non-infectious disease, or other scientific discipline
- 5+ years of post-graduate experience
- Fluent English communication skills, verbal and written and ability to work in an international context
- Up to 15% per year of domestic or international travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Vaccines R&D and external partnering preferred
