Senior Director - Acute Care Pharmacy

Job Summary

Develop short- and long-term industry-leading pharmacy strategies focused on patient safety, prescription capture rates, and revenue growth while implementing operational efficiencies to enhance the patient experience. Create and execute a vision for continual improvement in quality pharmacy services, maintaining standardized labor and automation models based on patient volume. Provide financial guidance through contracting recommendations, pricing updates, and billing strategies to ensure departmental objectives. Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to meet medication safety, automation, and compliance requirements, serving as a subject matter expert in thought leadership and business development. Lead the Acute Pharmacy leadership team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management practices to drive succession planning and talent development. Report to the Vice President of Pharmacy and Health Professions, supporting the health system's educational mission with the School of Pharmacy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy
  • Licensed Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy
  • Membership in regional & national pharmacy organization(s)
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
  • Employment with the health system is contingent upon, among other things, agreeing to the health-system-dispute-resolution-program.pdf and signing the agreement to the DRP

Desired Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Doctorate Pharmacy, Health Administration or Business Administration
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency
