Job Summary
Senior Director of Accounting role focusing on leading global Controllership initiatives, designing complex high-risk accounting transaction processes, and ensuring alignment of US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP. Responsibilities include developing integration roadmaps, governance structures, and KPIs; designing playbooks for non-standard transactions (acquisitions, mergers, country expansion); enabling AI and automation in finance transformations; coordinating with FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, and IT; engaging cross-functional stakeholders to present clear, fact-based updates to executives; and supporting international accounting operations and M&A activities. Requires 10+ years international accounting experience, 5+ years in a relevant leadership role, US GAAP/IFRS/local GAAP expertise, SOX experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong executive communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in international accounting
- 5+ years in a relevant leadership role
- Expertise in US GAAP, IFRS and local statutory requirements
- Robust SOX audit framework experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related subject area
- Project management certification a plus
- Ability to work independently in a matrix environment
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to create executive-level decks
