Senior Digital IC / Pre-Silicon Platform Engineer

Job Summary
Design, implement, and document RTL for digital IP blocks, then support RTL and gate-level verification including debugging, bug tracking, and coverage closure. Integrate pre-existing IPs into high-scale FPGA platforms by developing SoC-friendly glue logic and clocking schemes, while delivering FPGA prototyping platforms to enable pre-silicon firmware development. Collaborate with firmware and system teams on hardware/software partitioning and system-level integration, and perform benchmarking of FPGA-based data path IPs against custom silicon implementations. Contribute to design reviews and functional safety activities, and support silicon validation and bring-up. Requires an MS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of FPGA experience and Verilog skills.
Required Qualifications
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of FPGA experience
- Proven experience designing and simulating digital blocks using Verilog
- Solid understanding of FPGA design flows and board platforms, including synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis (STA)
- Experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and UltraScale+ devices
- Experience with AMBA buses (APB, AHB, AXI) and communication protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet)
- Experience with C and Python programming languages
- Experience with Tcl
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI)
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers
- Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with local and remote international teams
- Hands-on experience working in Linux-based development environments
