Job Summary
Senior Digital Forensics Examiner responsible for advanced forensic scoping, collection, analysis, reporting, and expert testimony. Conduct forensic collections from cloud sources, computers, mobile devices; prepare forensic reports; provide expert testimony; advise on data management and forensic methodology; ensure validation per guidelines and legal standards; draft affidavits and declarations; support litigation and ensure evidence integrity. Requires extensive hands-on experience with leading forensic tools, strong knowledge of disk structures and metadata, experience with e-Discovery and litigation support, and ability to work independently or in a team within a dynamic, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of progressive technical experience in digital forensic collections and investigations
- Hands-on experience with digital forensic tools such as MetaSpike Forensic Email Collector (FEC), X-Ways, AccessData FTK, OpenText EnCase, Cellebrite UFED/PA, Cellebrite Digital Collector, Cellebrite Inspector, Magnet Forensics Axiom Cyber, Paraben E3, Fookes Aid4Mail, GetData Forensic Explorer (FEX)
- Experience with the chain of custody and evidence handling best practices
- Strong understanding of disk structures, file systems, and forensic artifacts for Windows and Apple macOS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and Google Workspace and their metadata
- Experience applying forensic investigative and litigation support principles/methodologies
- Excellent documentation and technical report writing skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Authorization to Work in the U.S.: candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. DISCO is not currently sponsoring visas
- 5+ years in private sector e-Discovery (preferred)
- 5+ years in forensic investigations and analysis (preferred)
- Experience testifying in civil or criminal courts (preferred)
