Job Summary
Senior Digital Forensics Engineer supporting the DISA GSM-O program onsite in Alexandria, VA. Requires an active Top Secret security clearance and advanced technical ability in Digital Forensics and Malware Analysis. Responsibilities include conducting examinations and comprehensive technical analysis of computer-related evidence during investigations, analyzing potentially infected systems and identifying indicators of compromise, preparing detailed Forensic or Malware Analysis reports, and providing technical support to the Incident Handling lifecycle (triage, containment, eradication, and analysis of security events). The role emphasizes producing written reports in plain business language and contributing to defensive measures to mitigate future risks. Preferred qualifications include IAT-III certification and reverse engineering experience. Travel about 10%. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance (or higher)
- Program can support up to TS/SCI
- Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT-II certification
- Current DoD 8570/8140 CSSP IR certification
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of Digital Forensics, Malware analysis, or Incident Response experience
- Demonstrated advanced understanding of digital forensics and malware analysis tools (commercial and open-source)
- Experience with cyber security technologies (NIDS, HIDS, IPS, IDS) and lifecycle of cyber threats
- Ability to create complex technical reports with clear written communication
