Job Summary
Senior Digital Design/VHDL Engineer responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of FPGA-based digital systems using VHDL. Responsibilities include leading design and validation, simulations and testing, collaborating with hardware/software teams to define requirements, debugging FPGA hardware/software interactions, documenting processes and results, planning schedules and resources, mentoring junior engineers, and driving continuous improvement of methods and tools. Requires 8–15 years of digital design experience with FPGA projects, strong VHDL and FPGA tool proficiency (Xilinx, Altera), experience with PCIe and Ethernet, knowledge of TSN and DO-254 processes, and proficiency with Verilog/UVM and embedded C/C++.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering
- 8–15 years of digital design experience with FPGA projects
- Proficiency in VHDL and FPGA design tools (Xilinx, Altera)
- Experience with PCIe, Ethernet (1G/10G), TSN, and system-level design/verification
- Strong knowledge of FPGA architectures, high-speed design, and DO-254 certification processes
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience with Verilog, UVM, and embedded C/C++ designs is preferred
