Senior Digital Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary
Lead a team of data engineers to deliver the roadmap for digital data engineering at TUI. Collaborate with the digital analytics team and senior stakeholders to shape the roadmap and strategy for data engineering across digital platforms. Design and implement scalable ETL processes and data integration solutions for customer and marketing data, ensure data quality and governance, and drive automation and documentation of data engineering standards. Mentor engineers, manage workloads via JIRA, and oversee CI/CD pipelines and code reviews. Bring strong SQL, Python, and cloud experience (GCP, Snowflake/AWS) to deliver analytics-ready data and actionable insights. Demonstrate ability to translate analytics capabilities into business value, maintain data quality frameworks, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA). Desire to advance analytics strategies, measurement frameworks, and explore emerging technologies to support global projects and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (senior level)
- Proven experience in digital analytics, business intelligence, or related roles at senior level
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Java
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and analytics methodologies
- Experience with data quality assurance methodologies and tools
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of GDPR and CCPA data privacy regulations
- Ability to work in agile development environments
