Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel and CNG vehicles while responding to emergency service calls. Estimate time and material costs, complete required paperwork, and maintain a clean work area adhering to OSHA standards. Assist senior mechanics on projects and review repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Perform frequent lifting, pushing, and climbing in varying weather conditions across shop and outdoor sites. Work 90% of the time traveling within assigned zones, with assignments lasting one week to four weeks.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Years of Diesel Mechanic & CNG Experience
- Waste Industry Experience as a Mechanic
- Ability to travel up to 90% within the market area
- Be able to utilize your OWN Vehicle and Transport Your Tools
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- A valid driver's license
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
