Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel and CNG trucks while responding to emergency service calls. Estimate time and material costs for repairs, complete required paperwork for parts usage and labor, and assist senior mechanics on project work. Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, maintain a clean work area in compliance with OSHA standards, and perform safety checks on vehicles. Work in both indoor shop and outdoor conditions across Upper Midwest locations, traveling up to 90% of the time within assigned zones.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Years of Diesel Mechanic & CNG Experience
- Waste Industry Experience as a Mechanic
- Ability to travel up to 90% within the market area
- Be able to utilize your OWN Vehicle and Transport Your Tools
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- A valid driver's license
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
