Job Summary
Senior Diesel Traveling Mechanic needed to service vehicles and equipment across the USA with up to 90% travel. You will inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of diesel trucks and, at some sites, CNG trucks. Responsibilities include estimating time and material costs, adhering to Standard Labor Repair Times, responding to service calls, performing safety checks, completing paperwork, and assisting senior mechanics. Requires 4+ years of relevant work experience, a valid driver’s license, eligibility to work in the U.S., ability to perform physical tasks, and successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical. Home location can be any of WM’s shops, with hotel accommodations provided while traveling and 1-week to 4-week assignments. Required Qualifications
- 6 Years of Diesel Mechanic & CNG Experience
- Waste Industry Experience as a Mechanic
- Ability to travel up to 90% within the market area
- Must own and transport own vehicle and tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
