Job Summary
Senior Diesel Mechanic role in Omaha, NE overseeing advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and systems. You will perform high-level engine and powertrain work across various diesel engines and Allison transmissions, troubleshoot aftertreatment, electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems, and conduct in-frame repairs, major component replacements, and root-cause failure analysis. You’ll interpret OEM diagnostics, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service literature, serve as a technical resource in the shop, and ensure clean, accurate documentation and professional workmanship. Requires 5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience (master-level strongly preferred), exceptional diagnostic ability with OEM software and tooling, deep hands-on experience with multiple Diesel engines and Allison Transmission products, ability to work independently on non-routine failures, strong electrical/aftertreatment troubleshooting, and OEM certifications; formal diesel training or technical degree and CDL or willingness to obtain are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience (master-level strongly preferred)

- Deep hands-on experience with multiple Diesel engines and Allison Transmission products
- Ability to work independently and confidently on non-routine failures
- Strong electrical and aftertreatment troubleshooting capability
- High standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability
- OEM certifications (Detroit, Allison, Cummins, MTU, Volvo, etc.)
- Formal diesel training or technical degree
- CDL or willingness to obtain
