Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled Senior Die Cast Engineer to design and develop die casting processes and tooling for new products. The engineer will lead and manage projects from concept to production, ensuring product quality through collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement initiatives, providing technical support to junior engineers, conducting root cause analysis for process-related issues, and staying updated with die casting technology trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related manufacturing and/or engineering environment
- Knowledge of foundry methodologies
- Knowledge of casting dies, metal pouring, critical control parameters, part removal, deburring, etc.
- Experience with thermal control and process optimization
- Experience in leading projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong background in die casting processes, materials, and tooling
- Strict adherence to US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in process development or manufacturing engineering related to aluminum die casting
- Familiarity with statistical techniques
- Proficient in problem-solving
- Proficient in the use of electronic systems and software, CAD experience is a plus
- Knowledge of measuring equipment
