Job Summary
Senior DFM Engineer responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing and assembly processes for new product development, collaborating with design engineers to determine critical-to-function features and to ensure quality and manufacturability while maintaining ease of manufacturing/assembly. Review fabrication and assembly drawings for accuracy and tolerances; determine parts, equipment, and tools needed to meet product specifications; design tooling and fixturing for production and quality control; develop and optimize process flow and work instructions. Support low-volume production to verify achievement of process plans and targets for quality, safety, efficiency, and cost; maximize production efficiency by analyzing equipment layout, workflow, and assembly methods. Requires BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and US citizenship due to ITAR. Location: Rockledge, FL (onsite).
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with GPA not less than 3.3
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- US Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulations
