Senior DevRel Engineer

Senior DevRel Engineer to build and scale a global developer community around HackerRank’s core products. Responsible for engaging developers, identifying and nurturing top talent, and creating systems that enable the community to contribute high-quality questions at scale. Operates at the intersection of community, product, and growth, acting as a champion for developers and a strategic partner to internal teams. Key duties include building and managing a global network of experts to create coding challenges; curating a community-sourced pipeline of hands-on questions with problem descriptions, canonical solutions, hints, and guidelines; nurturing community participation and measuring engagement signals to inform strategy; identifying, recruiting, and collaborating with developer champions, contributors, and influencers to expand reach and credibility. Required strengths include hands-on coding experience, strong technical foundation in at least one mainstream language, exceptional written and verbal communication, empathy for developers, and a passion for developer success without sales pressure. Bonus preferences include experience contributing to developer ecosystems, open-source exposure, and familiarity with AI-driven workflows. The role emphasizes building scalable systems from the ground up, thriving amidst ambiguity, and elevating developer experience and customer impact through collaboration with engineers, customers, and global experts.
