Job Summary
Design and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform) and build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Deploy, scale Kubernetes clusters in production, and implement containerization strategies using Docker for microservices architectures. Set up monitoring and observability solutions with Open Telemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana while ensuring security best practices including OWASP compliance and static code analysis. Troubleshoot performance issues, outages, and scaling challenges in production environments, collaborating with cross-functional engineering, data, and security teams. This role requires deep technical expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Linux fundamentals to ensure platform reliability and automation maturity across cloud-native systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services in production environments
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes administration and production operations
- Strong experience with Docker and cloud-native microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language: Python, Go, or Shell scripting
- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB)
- Strong Linux fundamentals and system-level troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of infrastructure and application security best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AWS data services such as DMS, Glue, Athena, or Redshift
- Experience working in start-up or high-growth environments
- Experience collaborating with distributed / remote teams
- Exposure to advanced observability, performance tuning, or cost optimization strategies
