Job Summary
Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining a globally distributed, high-load infrastructure. Role requires Linux systems expertise, advanced networking, VPN stack engineering, and building monitoring from the ground up. Key duties include designing scalable, highly available infrastructure; automating CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Ansible, and Terraform; tuning kernels and network performance on Linux; configuring monitoring (Zabbix, Grafana) with templates and auto-discovery; managing VPN technologies (StrongSwan, OpenVPN, Xray); analyzing incidents to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes; ensuring security through access control, firewalls, updates, and 2FA; collaborating with distributed development and QA teams; participating in architectural decisions and best-practices adoption. Core skills span Monitoring Engineering (Zabbix, Grafana templates, auto-discovery, alerts), Linux/kernel optimization (network I/O, socket buffers, IRQ affinity, NIC queues, sysctl), VPN technologies (StrongSwan, OpenVPN, Xray-core), DPI evasion and traffic obfuscation (domain fronting, SNI masking, REALITY, uTLS fingerprinting), plus scripting (Bash, Go, Python), virtualization (Proxmox, Docker, Portainer), networking (nftables/iptables, VLANs, GRE/IPIP), databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), automation (Ansible, Terraform), cloud (AWS, Cloudflare, Hetzner), logging (Elastic/OpenSearch), and Kubernetes on bare metal.
