Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes environments. Responsibilities span cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, monitoring, and database management, with an on-call rotation and a hybrid work arrangement from La Paz, Bolivia.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer role
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing)
- Hands-on experience with AWS is a plus
- Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional (Cloud Architect or Cloud DevOps Engineer) and/or CKAD are preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized microservices architecture
- Experience managing monitoring stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, with expertise in building actionable alerts and dashboards
- Proven experience managing databases such as MongoDB, Redis, and MySQL in production environments
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Deployment Manager
- Familiarity with AI-driven DevOps practices, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, AI-assisted deployments, and AIOps tooling
- Understanding of SSO and federation standards like OAuth, SAML, OIDC
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Preferred qualifications: Terraform, Helm, automating Kubernetes deployments; experience with high-throughput systems; Istio; cloud security, cost optimization, disaster recovery; integrating LLMs/AI agents into CI/CD/observability workflows
