Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for designing secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments, building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and GitOps, developing IaC with Terraform/Ansible, collaborating with software/data engineers, supporting data streaming pipelines (Kafka, Flink), and maintaining platform observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, Kibana). The role enforces DevSecOps practices, manages Helm charts and Istio service mesh, supports multi-cluster deployments across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-prem, and engages with customers at high-demand DoW environments. Requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Docker/Kubernetes expertise, cloud familiarity, and the ability to operate in regulated government contexts with security clearances. The position is hybrid with up to 25% travel within the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience
- 5+ years of production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitOps)
- Experience with data streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform; Ansible a plus)
- Experience with Helm, Istio, service mesh
- Strong observability tooling experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, Loki, Kibana)
- Java and/or Go software development experience
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure
- Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Strong troubleshooting and independent work capability
- Experience with secure deployment practices in regulated/government environments
