Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer at Medtronic responsible for leading DevOps practice modernization and automation across Azure-based environments. Role requires minimum 10 years in product development with 5-8 years in Automation/DevOps, and advanced certifications (SAFe DevOps Practitioner, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer). Key skills include Azure DevOps Administration, REST API, Pipelines, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Python, Postman, VM/Cloud infrastructure, Windows PowerShell, CI/CD design, and automation framework development; familiarity with FDA/ISO healthcare regulations and cloud/hybrid cloud solutions. The position emphasizes cross-cultural collaboration, automation strategy implementation, and building real-time dashboards and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of total product development experience with 5 to 8 years in Automation and DevOps
- Masters or bachelor’s in engineering or Technology in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electricals or related field
- Industry recognized certifications such as SAFe DevOps Practitioner Certification and Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer
- Solid Experience in Azure DevOps Administration, Azure DevOps Services REST API, Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Solid Experience in Database Management (MS SQL)
- Solid Experience in Git (Advanced usage)
- Experience using automation tools such as Ranorex, LabView
- Strong knowledge of Agile Methodology
- Solid Experience in design, implementation, use, enablement of the Automation strategy
- Experience in Python programming
- Experience with creating CI server tasks/jobs (Jenkins, TeamCity)
- Experience in building CI/CD environments
- Experience in building real-time reports and dashboards
- Experience with VM’s and Cloud infrastructure
- Experience in Windows command line environments (Command Prompt and/or PowerShell)
- Experience with Postman for API testing
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink build pipeline or configuration models
- Experience in installing and setting up desktops and servers
- Experience in extreme programming practices such as Behavior Driven Development
- Experience working in a global cross-culture team environment
- Knowledge of FDA healthcare regulatory standards such as FDA and ISO like IEC 62304
- Experience building platforms or software applications in the cloud environment
- Experience implementing Cloud and/or Hybrid-Cloud solutions a plus
