Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes & GitOps)

Job Summary
Design, operate, and improve production-grade Kubernetes platforms while building automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and incident response. Implement GitOps workflows using Flux or Argo CD and enhance CI/CD pipelines for secure application delivery across AWS, GCP, or hybrid environments. Partner with engineering and security teams to troubleshoot complex production issues, manage networking and service mesh patterns, and drive Infrastructure as Code standards with Terraform or Pulumi. Mentor engineers on DevOps best practices and maintain documentation for runbooks and architecture notes. Support cloud-native infrastructure operations and collaborate on multi-region architectures, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions within a global team delivering digital transformation for enterprise and startup clients.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production at scale
- Experience owning real-world Kubernetes platforms
- Understanding of the operational complexity of running distributed systems in production
- Strong experience with GitOps-based deployment workflows
- Experience building, improving, and supporting cloud-native infrastructure
- Experience building, improving, and supporting Kubernetes platforms
- Experience building, improving, and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building, improving, and supporting observability systems
- Experience building, improving, and supporting production reliability practices
- Comfort working across infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes production experience
- Advanced Kubernetes knowledge, including deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, RBAC, network policies, probes, HPA, and storage
- Strong GitOps experience, with Flux or Argo CD
- Strong CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar platforms
- Experience with Helm and/or Kustomize
- Strong Linux systems, networking, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, including EKS, IAM, VPC, Route 53, ALB/NLB, S3, RDS, or CloudWatch
- Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or similar tools
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Go, or similar languages
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, New Relic, Better Stack, or similar
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across application, infrastructure, and networking layers
- Strong written communication skills, especially for runbooks, architecture notes, and operational documentation
