Senior DevOps Engineer with a Kubernetes focus to support modernization and cloud migration for a global commercial client. The role emphasizes architecture, design, implementation, and launch of scalable, maintainable systems in a cloud/Kubernetes environment, with remote work emphasis and in-person interview requirements near East Coast hubs.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a Software, Data or DevOps Engineer
- 3+ years of experience with AWS
- Experience building enterprise-scale applications with Kubernetes and Helm charts
- Experience operating Kubernetes via EKS in AWS
- Deep Linux proficiency with production Kubernetes incidents
- Experience migrating data stores to the cloud
- Experience with hybrid deployments (on-premise and cloud)
- Experience with GitOps/infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
- Experience with cloud architecture patterns (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with build/deployment automation (Harness, GitLab, Ansible)
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb, AWS Config, Kibana, Grafana)
- Commitment to automated testing and CI
- Strong communication skills for remote collaboration
- East Coast locality travel readiness
- AWS Associate-level certification (required or within 12 months)
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical major (or equivalent experience)
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

- Infrastructure and application monitoring tools (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb, AWS Config, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk)
- Automated testing and CI
- Strong written and verbal communication in a remote environment
- Ability to work in a Scrum team
- Willingness to be within travel distance of East Coast hubs for in-person activities
