Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen the reliability, automation, build, release, and developer experience of Wind River Cloud Platform. Responsibilities include owning the virtualization environment, improving CI/CD workflows, build reliability, release readiness, automation to reduce manual effort, and contributing to StarlingX/open-source cloud-native projects. Requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, StarlingX, Helm, Ansible; strong Python/Linux programming; experience with CI/CD tooling (Gerrit, Zuul, Jenkins, GitLab CI); and the ability to work across teams in a hybrid Canada-based role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, infrastructure engineering, or release engineering with a Bachelor's degree or 4+ years with a Master’s degree
- 3+ years of programming experience with Python or Linux
- 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD ecosystems such as Gerrit, Zuul, Jenkins, and GitLab CI, including build reliability, pipeline optimization, release readiness, and actionable reporting
