Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and automate components of large-scale distributed cloud systems; implement and support PAM solutions primarily on OpenStack; build tools and workflows to improve availability, scalability, latency, and operational efficiency; collaborate across teams to deploy high-quality software in a fast-paced environment; monitor production and development environments; participate in incident response and root cause analysis; document designs and operational procedures; contribute to reliability metrics; must have hands-on cloud/platform experience (OpenStack/AWS/GCP), Terraform/Ansible, Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD (GitLab), scripting (Python/Bash), Linux administration; role requires working hours overlapping U.S. Pacific time.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5–7+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or production operations
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting systems, debugging production issues, and working with networking concepts
- 3+ years of public cloud experience (OpenStack, AWS, or GCP), with OpenStack experience preferred
- Experience implementing and supporting security or access management solutions, including PAM
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and automation, using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows (e.g., GitLab)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure, and cloud services
- Solid experience with Linux environments, including system administration, scripting, and performance troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
